3 Days in Paris (with Tour Prices Compared)
A short first visit to Paris in November or December: a day for the Louvre, the Eiffel Tower and the Seine, a day of food and Montmartre that ends at the Moulin Rouge, and a day out at Versailles (or Disneyland, or Mont-Saint-Michel). Every paid stop is a tour or ticket we compared across three booking sites, and the gaps are free time.
Day 1: The Louvre, the Eiffel Tower and the Seine after dark
- Morning: a guided Louvre tour. The Tour Guy's priority-access tour was cheapest on Viator, from about $52.05 (4.6 from 613), about 2.5 hours with groups of up to 18. GetYourGuide's Louvre and Mona Lisa tour was from $76 (4.7 from 1,625) and Klook's 2-hour tour about US$91.59. Mornings suit it best, and it's the natural plan for a rainy day. Afterwards, walk west through the Tuileries Garden toward the river (free).
- Afternoon: the Eiffel Tower by lift. Viator's reserved-access visit guided by lift was cheapest, from about $57.56, though summaries describe it as non-refundable. Mon Petit Paris on GetYourGuide was from $61 (4.4 from 16,817) with the summit as an add-on, and Klook's tickets from US$62.95 are escorted entry with an audio guide rather than a guided tour. Tickets are tied to your time slot, and the security and lift lines still apply. Go in the late afternoon to see the city by daylight and then lit up.
- Evening: a one-hour Seine cruise. The Bateaux Parisiens cruise leaves from the foot of the tower, so it's a short walk. It was cheapest on GetYourGuide, from $20 (4.4 from about 91,300), against about $21 on Viator and about US$23.29 on Klook. You can board any departure on your date. Reviewers say the boat can be cold and crowded, so wrap up and try a weeknight.
Day 2: Le Marais, Montmartre and the Moulin Rouge
- Late morning: a Le Marais food tour. Secret Food Tours' Le Marais tour with tastings, cheese and wine was cheapest on GetYourGuide, from about $86 (we saw $86–87; 4.8 from 474), against about €128 for the same tour on Viator. Klook's Le Marais food walk showed no price. Plan for it to be lunch. Start times vary by date (unverified).
- Afternoon: a Montmartre walk. GetYourGuide's Montmartre and Sacré-Cœur walking tour with a local guide was from $23 on sale (was $29; 4.8 from 1,264), the cheapest guided tour in our Paris comparison. The Hidden Gems walk on Viator was about $38.14 and Klook's about US$36.49 with only 5 reviews. It ends at Sacré-Cœur, so stay for the view over the city at sunset (free), which comes early once the clocks go back.
- Evening: the Moulin Rouge. You're already in the neighborhood. The Féerie show with half a bottle of champagne was cheapest on GetYourGuide, from about $137 (4.7 from about 18,800), a few cents under Klook's ticket at US$137.09, which adds a 1.5-hour city bus tour. Viator's listing showed as unavailable when we checked. The GetYourGuide ticket is non-refundable and asks for elegant dress, and reviewers mention cramped shared tables.
Day 3: A day out of the city
- All day: Versailles. Klook's palace and gardens guided tour from Paris was cheapest by about $30, from about US$72.55 (4.3 from about 335), with groups of up to 18 and free cancellation with 24 hours' notice. GetYourGuide's coach tour was from $103 and best rated (4.7 from nearly 4,000), and Viator's from about $101.57. The palace is closed every Monday, so don't make Monday your Versailles day. Back in Paris, the evening is free.
- Or swap in: Disneyland Paris. A one-day, one-park ticket was cheapest on Viator by a few cents, from about $57.90, against $58 on GetYourGuide and about US$58.35 on Klook. Two parks came to about $98 on GetYourGuide and US$97.65 on Klook. Since the prices are so close, pick on cancellation terms and reviews (4.8 on Klook, 4.6 on GetYourGuide, 3.5 on Viator).
- Or swap in: Mont-Saint-Michel. Klook's day tour was cheapest, from US$79.80 (4.5 from 1.6K). City Wonders on Viator was from about $113 with an English-speaking guide and abbey entry, and GetYourGuide's from $153. It's about 14 hours, with roughly four hours each way on the coach, so it's a long day in winter dark.
Rough cost per person
| Item | Cheapest site | From |
|---|---|---|
| Louvre guided tour with priority access | Viator | about $52.05 |
| Eiffel Tower visit by lift | Viator | about $57.56 |
| One-hour Seine cruise (Bateaux Parisiens) | GetYourGuide | $20 |
| Le Marais food tour | GetYourGuide | about $86 |
| Montmartre and Sacré-Cœur walking tour | GetYourGuide | $23 |
| Moulin Rouge show with champagne | GetYourGuide | about $137 |
| Versailles guided tour from Paris | Klook | about $72.55 |
| Total, paid tours and tickets | about $448 |
That's $52.05 + $57.56 + $20 + $86 + $23 + $137 + $72.55 = $448.16 in "from" prices, before taxes, fees, meals, hotel and transport. Swapping Versailles for a one-park Disneyland day brings it to $433.51; swapping in Mont-Saint-Michel brings it to $455.41. Skipping the Moulin Rouge takes off $137, which brings the three days to about $311.
Skip if…
- Skip the Moulin Rouge if you're on a budget or traveling with kids; it's the priciest item, it's non-refundable on GetYourGuide, and an evening at Sacré-Cœur is free.
- Skip the food tour if you're a picky eater or would rather graze the Marais on your own; it's the second-biggest cost.
- Skip the Eiffel Tower ticket if you only want the view of the tower itself; the cruise and the riverbank show it off for less, and the cheapest ticket may not be refundable.
- Skip Mont-Saint-Michel if you don't want eight hours on a coach, or if you're traveling with older parents; Versailles is a much shorter day.
- Skip Versailles on a Monday, when the palace is closed.
A November and December note: early dark, rain and booking ahead
France turns its clocks back on the night of October 24–25, 2026, so evenings get dark sooner: good for the Seine cruise and the lit-up tower, less good for long day trips. Expect rain and wind, and keep the Louvre for the wettest day. Until November 1, 2026, the Louvre requires a reservation even for visitors who get in free, so book ahead over the French school holidays. Our comparison also noted protests and a one-night curfew around République and Les Halles on October 19, so check the news the evening before late plans there. Prefer free cancellation where you can, and book the Moulin Rouge and December weekend tours early, since "from" prices can rise.
