London in November and December: Best-Value Tours Compared (Viator vs GetYourGuide vs Klook)
The booking sites block automated price checks, so we read the prices from search-engine copies of each listing. For most rows only the search engine's summary of the page was available, so treat those prices and ratings as rough, and some copies may be older than our check date. "From" means the lowest date or option. Prices are in the currency the page showed (mostly US dollars, with some in pounds, euros or Australian dollars). Always confirm the live price for your dates before you book.
London trip-planning threads this week have been full of trips for the coming weeks: a first week in London from Halloween into early November, a whole month in the city, first solo trips, and several Christmas-to-New-Year visits. The bookings people ask about — the Harry Potter studio tour, a Windsor, Stonehenge and Oxford day trip, a Jack the Ripper walk, the Tower of London, the London Eye, a Thames river cruise, Westminster Abbey, a Christmas lights bus tour and a Cotswolds day trip — are sold on Viator, GetYourGuide and Klook, often by the same operator at different prices. We matched the most popular versions so you can compare before you book.
The short answer
- GetYourGuide had the lowest US-dollar "from" price in 7 of 9 rows, including the Windsor, Stonehenge and Oxford day trip (from about $96), the Ripper-Vision Jack the Ripper walk (from $24), the Tower of London (from $50), Westminster Abbey (from about $36), the Christmas lights bus tour (from $33) and a small-group Cotswolds day trip (from $105).
- Klook was cheapest in 2: the Harry Potter studio tour with a bus from Victoria (from US$119.09, just under GetYourGuide's $120) and the London Eye (from US$36.29).
- Viator wasn't cheapest in any row this time, but it had the most reviews for the Ripper-Vision walk (4.6 from 4,585) and a well-rated small-group Cotswolds tour (4.8 from 1,895).
- Same operator, different price: Golden Tours' Christmas lights tour was from $33 on GetYourGuide and from $40.62 on Viator; the Ripper-Vision walk ran from $24 to about $27.27 across the three sites.
London in November and December
- Seasonal sets at the studio: listings for the Warner Bros. Studio Tour say the Halloween "Dark Arts" theme runs until about November 8–9, and "Hogwarts in the Snow" runs from mid-November to mid-January, with the Great Hall dressed for the Yule Ball. The studio is closed on December 25 and 26, per its own FAQ, so book the studio tour early for the Christmas weeks.
- Holiday closures: the Tower of London is closed December 24–26 and January 1, and the London Eye is closed on Christmas Day. In winter the Tower's last admission is 4 pm, so go in the morning.
- Windsor Castle days: Windsor Castle is closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and on those days the Windsor, Stonehenge and Oxford tours swap the castle visit for a walk around the town. Pick another day if the castle is the point.
- Winter river timetable: City Cruises switches to its winter timetable from October 26, 2026, with boats roughly every 30–40 minutes. The full Westminster–Greenwich run on the hop-on hop-off river pass takes about an hour.
- Sundays at the Abbey: Westminster Abbey is open for worship on Sundays rather than sightseeing, so plan your visit for Monday to Saturday.

Best-value picks by activity
The Harry Potter studio tour
Lowest "from" price we saw: Klook, with a bus from London Victoria, from US$119.09. Premium Tours on GetYourGuide was a dollar more, from $120, with by far the most reviews (4.7 from 28,270), an audio guide and about four hours at the studio. Another GetYourGuide coach option from Bedford Way was from $130 (was $165), 4.7 from 13,091.
Viator's coach tour from Victoria Coach Station was from US$142.18 (4.4 from about 3,360). The whole day takes about 7.5 hours with traffic, and Viator's page says this tour is booked about 51 days ahead on average, so don't leave it late for December.
Windsor, Stonehenge and Oxford in a day
Lowest "from" price we saw: GetYourGuide's full-day trip, from about $96 (4.3 from about 2,900). Reviewers like the guides but say Windsor and Oxford feel rushed. Klook's version was about US$110.55 (4.2 from 35), with about 60–90 minutes at each stop. Golden Tours on Viator was shown in Australian dollars, from about A$186.43 (4.4 from 1,155). On all three, Stonehenge and Windsor Castle entry depends on the option you pick, so compare the same option.
A Jack the Ripper walk
Ripper-Vision runs the same 1-hour-45-minute Whitechapel walk, with crime-scene images projected along the way, on all three sites. Lowest "from" price we saw: GetYourGuide, from $24 (4.5 from 1,915). Klook was about US$26.49, with 5 pm or 7:30 pm starts from the Whitechapel Gallery, and Viator about £20 / $27.27 (4.6 from 4,585). Reviewers say the projections work best after dark, which is easy in November and December.
The Tower of London
It's the same official ticket everywhere, with the Crown Jewels and the Yeoman Warder (Beefeater) tours. Lowest "from" price we saw: GetYourGuide, from $50 (£38 on its UK page, the same as the official adult price), 4.6 from 33,158. Klook was from US$50.65 and Viator from about €42.87 (4.4 from about 6,760). Reviewers warn about queues and lots of walking and stairs; allow at least two hours.
The London Eye
Lowest "from" price we saw: Klook, from US$36.29. GetYourGuide was from about $38–39 off-peak and from $44 at peak times (4.6 from more than 40,000), and Viator from US$39.56 (4.1 from about 3,190). The official site sells advance standard tickets from £29, so check it too for your date.
A Thames river cruise
City Cruises' hop-on hop-off pass stops at Westminster, the London Eye, the Tower and Greenwich. GetYourGuide's one-day river pass showed from $12 (4.5 from about 900), but that's far below the official £24.50 adult fare, so it may be a child or limited-time price; check the adult total before you book. Klook was about US$16.89–21.15 (4.3 from about 170) and also sells a one-way trip. Viator's 24-hour pass was about $33–34 (4.1–4.2 from about 1,200). Reviewers warn that sailings can run late or be cancelled, so don't plan a tight connection around one.
Westminster Abbey
Lowest "from" price we saw: GetYourGuide, from about $36–43 (4.6 from about 13,000), with a timed entry and multimedia guide. Viator was from $41.03 (4.1 from 684) and Klook from US$42.29, with no refunds. None of these skip the queue, and the official adult ticket is £32.
A Christmas lights bus tour
Golden Tours runs a 75–90-minute open-top bus tour with a live guide past the West End lights. Lowest "from" price we saw: GetYourGuide, from $33 (4.1 from 5,442). The same tour was from $40.62 on Viator (4.4 from 773). Klook's 1.5-hour Christmas lights tour, from the London Eye or Green Park, was about US$34.85 (4.1 from 34). Reviewers say the top deck gets cold, so wrap up.
A Cotswolds day trip
Lowest "from" price we saw: GetYourGuide's small-group Cotswolds tour, from $105 (4.8 from 5,316). Viator's small-group tour from South Kensington was about $113–134 (4.8 from 1,895), with stops in Burford, Bibury, Bourton-on-the-Water and Stow-on-the-Wold. Klook's full-day tour was from US$152.89, with an optional two-course lunch. Some GetYourGuide reviewers found the village stops short.
Which tours fit your kind of trip
A first week in London
Start with the Tower of London on a weekday morning, and pair Westminster Abbey with the London Eye the same day, since they're across the river from each other. Use the river pass to get to Greenwich. If you have a spare day, the Windsor, Stonehenge and Oxford trip (from about $96) covers three places in one go, while the Cotswolds tour (from $105) is a slower day in the countryside.
Christmas to New Year
This is the busiest time for the Harry Potter studio tour, which is closed December 25–26 and has the Hogwarts in the Snow sets. Book it first. The Christmas lights bus tour (from $33) and the Jack the Ripper walk (from $24) both fill a dark evening well. Plan around the Tower of London closing December 24–26 and January 1, and the London Eye closing on Christmas Day.
Solo and short stays
Walking tours are an easy way to meet people: the Ripper-Vision walk has 5 pm and 7:30 pm starts and costs about US$26.49 on Klook. The Thames river cruise and London Eye are easy to fit around a short stay, and a small-group day trip like the Cotswolds tour keeps the group small, which makes it easier to talk to the people around you.
Been before and seen the big sights
Skip the queues you've done before and try the evening options: the Christmas lights tour with a live guide, or the Ripper-Vision walk through Whitechapel. For a day out of town, the Cotswolds make a change from the city.
Booking tips
- Check refunds on tickets. Klook's Westminster Abbey ticket can't be refunded. Most of the tours here allow free cancellation up to 24 hours ahead, but the Harry Potter coach tours need up to 3 days' notice for a full refund.
- Compare with the official price. The Tower of London (£38 adult), Westminster Abbey (£32) and London Eye (advance from £29) all sell tickets directly, and resellers are not always cheaper.
- Watch the currency. Pages showed USD, GBP, EUR and AUD. The Viator Tower ticket was in euros and the Golden Tours day trip in Australian dollars, so set your currency before you compare.
- Match the operator name when you can. Golden Tours (the Christmas lights tour) and Ripper-Vision (the Jack the Ripper walk) sell the same product on more than one site, and the cheapest total for your date wins.
- Check what's included on day trips. On the Windsor, Stonehenge and Oxford tours, castle and stone-circle entry is often an add-on. Compare the option with entry included on each site.
